Brutalismus 3000 Inglewood Concert reviews
OUTSTANDING!!!
What an outstandingly awesome evening we all had with the Piano Guys! Lexi Walker, a 15-year old extraordinary singer, was flawless in her rendition of O Holy Night/Ave Maria, showcasing her pure voice. The venue was a definite step up, and their show certainly rose to the challenge, combining humor, virtuosity, and good music in many moments. The music they selected was varied and satisfying, with a lot of numbers fitting the Christmas theme, all performed wonderfully and timely.
Although there were many great moments during the show, there was one negative aspect that needs to be mentioned. Al van der Beek, a member of their extended team, sings at various times during the performance. Unfortunately, his voice is mediocre, which creates a "ho-hum" moment in the concert. Despite his passion for singing, particularly Christian-themed songs, it would be better if he stayed behind the scenes rather than taking the stage.
This was our 3rd Brutalismus 3000 concert, but the first time we experienced them in a formal venue, which was a significant improvement from their previous location at Humphrey's. None of the Christmas music felt clich茅, and the overall performance left us breathless and looking forward to their next return.
